We are currently seeking a Technical Sales Representative – Industry to support our Industry Target Market across Southwest Ontario.

Your Impact

Reporting to the Regional Sales Manager, you will play a critical role in driving growth by:

  • Selling Sika's industry‑leading product portfolio
  • Delivering technical expertise and value‑driven solutions
  • Building trusted, long‑term customer partnerships

You will advise and promote Sika solutions to process engineers, manufacturing specialists, purchasing professionals, and other key decision‑makers, showcasing Sika's advanced adhesive, sealant, and resin technologies.

Customer Segments You'll Support

Your sales efforts will focus on a diverse and exciting range of industries, including:

  • Automotive Aftermarket – Autoglass replacement
  • Transportation Manufacturing – Bus, rail, truck, specialty & recreational vehicles
  • Building Components – Industrial lamination, modular construction, fenestration
  • Marine – Commercial and recreational markets
  • Appliances & Manufacturing – Wind turbine manufacturing & maintenance, battery module manufacturing, and more
  • Advanced Resins – Electronic potting applications and specialty resins

What You'll Be Doing

As part of Sika Canada's Industry Sales Team, you will:

  • Act as the technical sales lead for your assigned region
  • Coordinate business development initiatives with your manager and cross‑functional teams
  • Promote Sika's full Industry product portfolio to engineering communities, OEMs, and industrial distributors
  • Develop specifications and influence buying decisions within key accounts
  • Build and maintain strong relationships across technical, operational, and purchasing functions
  • Recommend and execute regional sales and marketing strategies
  • Identify application challenges, manufacturing processes, and dispensing requirements in customer environments
  • Partner closely with Sika's Technical, R&D, and Field Support teams to close deals and retain customers
  • Validate new applications through Technical Service Requests prior to customer launch
  • Collaborate with OEMs and equipment suppliers to ensure material and equipment compatibility
  • Support Market Field Specialists and Technical Service Representatives
  • Act as project manager for selected key programs
  • Deliver customer training through workshops, events, and on‑site support
  • Actively participate in external technical committees and professional forums
  • Provide monthly activity and performance reports aligned with growth and budget targets

Qualifications
  • University or College degree in Business with a strong technical/engineering background
  • 3–5 years of experience in adhesive or sealant sales
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Bilingual (French/English) is considered a strong asset
  • Willingness to travel 10–15% for meetings, training, and customer engagement
  • Self‑driven, results‑oriented, and committed to professionalism and innovation

Vehicle & Driver Requirements

  • Company vehicle provided
  • Valid driver's license required
  • Compliance with Sika's Fleet Safety Policy
  • Responsible care and protection of company assets
