We are seeking a skilled Material Handler to join our logistics team in Raleigh, North Carolina. This role is crucial for maintaining the smooth flow of materials throughout our facility, from receiving to dispatch. You will operate material handling equipment, assist with loading and unloading trucks, and manage inventory movements. A strong emphasis is placed on Safety and operational efficiency. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload materials from delivery vehicles and transport them within the warehouse.
- Receive incoming shipments, verify contents, and stock materials in designated areas.
- Assist with inventory counts and maintain accurate records of material movements.
- Ensure all materials are stored correctly and safely.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment to promote Safety.
- Adhere strictly to all company Safety policies and procedures.
- Support the overall logistics operations by ensuring timely material availability.
- Perform routine checks on equipment and report any maintenance needs.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a Material Handler or Forklift Operator is required.
- Valid forklift certification is preferred.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including frequent Lifting (up to 60 lbs).
- Understanding of warehouse operations and inventory management.
- Familiarity with Safety regulations in a logistics context.
- Must be able to wear and use all necessary PPE.
- Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Commitment to Safety and teamwork is essential.
