Become a crucial part of our logistics network as a Picker/Packer in Grand Rapids, Michigan! We are seeking motivated individuals to join our warehouse team responsible for accurately selecting and preparing orders for shipment. In this role, you will utilize RF scanners and follow detailed pick lists to gather products, then carefully package them to ensure safe delivery to our customers. Your efficiency and accuracy are key to our customer satisfaction. This position requires attention to detail, physical stamina, and a strong commitment to workplace safety. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items from warehouse shelves according to customer orders and pick tickets.
- Verify product codes and quantities for accuracy before packing.
- Pack items securely and efficiently, selecting appropriate packaging materials.
- Label packages correctly for shipment.
- Operate RF scanners and other warehouse equipment safely.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, following all logistics and safety protocols.
- Adhere strictly to all safety guidelines, including the proper use of PPE and safe lifting techniques.
- Perform manual lifting of items up to 50 lbs as needed.
- Meet established productivity standards for picking and packing.
- Assist with inventory cycle counts and put-away tasks as required.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a Picker/Packer or in a similar warehouse role is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive manual lifting of up to 50 lbs.
- Familiarity with RF scanners and warehouse management systems is a plus.
- Understanding of safety procedures and the importance of wearing required PPE.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Good time management and organizational skills.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
