Key Responsibilities:
- Load and unload materials from trucks and trailers.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Transport materials to and from designated areas within the warehouse.
- Assist with inventory management, including counting and verifying stock.
- Inspect equipment before and after use to ensure proper functioning.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Adhere to all safety protocols, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Identify and report any damaged materials or equipment malfunctions.
- Support shipping and receiving operations as needed.
- Follow all logistics procedures for material flow.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a Material Handler or in a similar warehouse role.
- Valid forklift certification is preferred.
- Ability to perform frequent lifting of up to 60 pounds.
- Proficiency in operating various material handling equipment.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse safety practices and procedures.
- Commitment to wearing required PPE at all times.
- Physical stamina to stand, walk, and lift for extended periods.
- Good organizational and communication skills.
- Familiarity with inventory control systems is a plus.
