We are seeking a dependable and efficient Material Handler to join our logistics team in Charlotte, North Carolina. In this role, you will be responsible for the safe and accurate movement of materials throughout the warehouse. Your duties will include loading and unloading trucks, operating material handling equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks, and ensuring materials are stored correctly and safely. You will play a critical part in maintaining inventory accuracy and supporting the overall efficiency of our supply chain. A strong commitment to Safety is essential; you must adhere to all company policies, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE ) such as steel-toed boots and high-visibility vests. This position requires the ability to perform physical tasks, including significant Lifting (up to 50 lbs) on a regular basis, and operating machinery safely. Experience with various types of forklifts and a thorough understanding of warehouse Logistics are highly desirable. Responsibilities:
- Load and unload materials from trucks and containers.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Transport materials to and from designated storage areas.
- Receive, identify, and store materials according to established procedures.
- Assist in maintaining accurate inventory records.
- Ensure all materials are handled and stored in a safe and orderly manner.
- Adhere strictly to all company Safety regulations and guidelines.
- Wear and properly use all required PPE .
- Perform routine checks and basic maintenance on equipment.
- Participate in inventory counts and other warehouse activities.
- Execute tasks requiring considerable physical effort, including repetitive Lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Support overall warehouse Logistics and operational flow.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a Material Handler or in a similar role.
- Valid forklift operator certification is often required.
- Proven ability to operate various types of material handling equipment.
- Physical capability to perform demanding tasks, including frequent Lifting of up to 50 lbs.
- Thorough understanding of warehouse Safety protocols and the correct use of PPE .
- Knowledge of warehouse Logistics and inventory management.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication skills.
