We are seeking an experienced and proactive Warehouse Supervisor to lead our team in Baltimore, Maryland. In this critical role, you will oversee daily warehouse operations, ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and a strong adherence to Safety protocols. Your responsibilities will include managing a team of warehouse staff, optimizing workflow, coordinating shipments, maintaining inventory integrity, and ensuring a safe working environment for all. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of warehouse Logistics, and a proven track record of success in managing warehouse operations. Responsibilities:
- Supervise and direct the daily activities of the warehouse team, including scheduling, training, and performance management.
- Ensure efficient and accurate execution of all warehouse functions: receiving, put-away, picking, packing, and shipping.
- Implement and enforce all company Safety policies and procedures, conducting regular Safety audits.
- Maintain inventory accuracy through proper stock rotation, cycle counts, and variance investigation.
- Optimize warehouse layout and workflows to improve efficiency and productivity in Logistics.
- Manage equipment maintenance schedules and ensure all warehouse machinery is in good working order.
- Coordinate with other departments and external partners to ensure smooth operations.
- Monitor team performance and provide coaching and feedback to enhance productivity and adherence to Safety standards.
- Manage the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) by all team members.
- Oversee the safe handling of materials, including appropriate Lifting techniques and load management.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field is preferred.
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in warehouse supervision or management.
- Proven leadership and team management skills.
- In-depth knowledge of warehouse operations, Safety regulations, and Logistics best practices.
- Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including occasional Lifting of up to 50 pounds.
- Proficiency in ensuring staff compliance with PPE requirements and Safety procedures.
- Commitment to fostering a culture of Safety and continuous improvement.
Working Conditions:
This supervisory role requires presence on the warehouse floor, involving interaction with staff and oversight of operations. The environment is dynamic and may involve exposure to varying temperatures. Leadership in Safety and ensuring adherence to all protocols, including PPE usage, is paramount. This position is central to our Logistics success.
