We are looking for a dedicated Picker/Packer to join our team in the vibrant city of San Francisco, California. In this role, you will be instrumental in ensuring that customer orders are accurately and efficiently prepared for shipment. Your responsibilities will include locating items in the warehouse, carefully picking them, and then expertly packing them for transit. Accuracy, speed, and a commitment to Safety are paramount. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items from warehouse shelves according to order tickets.
- Inspect picked items for quality and condition before packing.
- Pack items securely and efficiently using appropriate materials to prevent damage during shipping.
- Label packages correctly for outgoing shipments.
- Operate hand trucks, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment safely.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to ensure efficiency and Safety.
- Conduct regular checks of inventory levels in picking areas.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures, particularly those related to Safety and the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Perform occasional Lifting of boxes and materials.
- Support the overall Logistics process by ensuring timely and accurate order fulfillment.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a Picker/Packer or in a similar warehouse role is preferred.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Commitment to adhering to Safety guidelines.
- Willingness to wear necessary PPE.
- Understanding of basic warehouse Logistics is beneficial.
Working Conditions:
This position is based in a busy warehouse environment. Continuous physical activity, including standing, walking, and occasional Lifting, is required. Employees must follow strict Safety protocols and wear required PPE. This role is crucial for our Logistics operations, demanding precision and a proactive approach to efficiency.
