We are looking for a diligent Receiving Clerk to join our logistics team in St. Louis, Missouri. In this vital role, you will be responsible for the accurate and efficient processing of all incoming shipments. Your duties will include unloading, inspecting, and documenting goods received, ensuring they match purchase orders and quality standards. A keen eye for detail and organizational skills are essential for success in this fast-paced environment. Responsibilities:
- Unload incoming freight from trucks using pallet jacks and other equipment.
- Inspect goods for damage or discrepancies, ensuring they meet quality standards.
- Verify received items against purchase orders and packing slips, documenting any variances.
- Accurately record received inventory into the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
- Stage received goods for put-away or distribution, maintaining an organized receiving area.
- Adhere to all warehouse Safety procedures and protocols.
- Ensure efficient flow of goods within the receiving department to support overall Logistics operations.
- Assist with inventory counts and other warehouse duties as needed.
- Requires regular Lifting of up to 40 lbs and standing for extended periods.
- Wear appropriate PPE , including safety vests and gloves.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Previous experience as a receiving clerk or in a warehouse environment is preferred.
- Ability to operate a pallet jack and other basic warehouse equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and verification.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Commitment to following safety guidelines and procedures.
- Basic computer skills for WMS input.
