We are looking for an experienced Warehouse Supervisor to lead our team at our Omaha, Nebraska distribution center. As a Warehouse Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the warehouse, ensuring efficiency, productivity, and the highest standards of safety. This leadership role requires strong organizational skills, excellent communication abilities, and a deep understanding of logistics and warehouse management. Your duties will include managing staff, assigning tasks, monitoring performance, and providing training and guidance to warehouse associates. You will play a key role in optimizing workflows, implementing best practices, and ensuring that all operational goals are met. A critical aspect of this role is enforcing safety regulations; you must ensure all team members adhere to safety protocols, properly use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), and maintain a safe working environment. You will also be involved in inventory control, equipment maintenance, and continuous improvement initiatives. This position involves managing both inbound and outbound logistics, ensuring timely and accurate processing of all orders. The ideal candidate will have proven leadership experience in a warehouse or distribution environment, with a strong understanding of inventory management, material handling, and shipping/receiving procedures. You should be comfortable with tasks that may require moderate physical activity, including occasional lifting up to 50 pounds, and be committed to promoting a culture of safety. Responsibilities:
- Supervise and direct daily warehouse operations and staff.
- Set performance goals and monitor team productivity.
- Train, mentor, and develop warehouse associates.
- Implement and enforce all safety policies and procedures, including mandatory PPE usage.
- Oversee inventory management processes to ensure accuracy.
- Optimize warehouse layout and workflows for efficiency.
- Coordinate with shipping and receiving departments to ensure smooth logistics.
- Manage equipment maintenance schedules.
- Conduct regular safety audits and promote a safety-first culture.
- Investigate and resolve operational issues and discrepancies.
- Support and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with all company and regulatory standards.
- Assist with lifting and other tasks as needed to support the team.
