We are hiring an Order Picker to join our bustling logistics hub in San Francisco, California. As an Order Picker, you will be the backbone of our fulfillment operations, meticulously selecting items from our warehouse to fulfill customer orders accurately and efficiently. This role demands precision, speed, and a strong understanding of warehouse procedures. Your day-to-day tasks will involve using order sheets or RF scanners to navigate the warehouse and locate specified products. You will be responsible for carefully picking items, ensuring the correct quantity and product are selected, and staging them for packing and shipment. Maintaining an organized workspace and contributing to overall warehouse cleanliness are also key aspects of this role. The position requires physical capability, including prolonged standing, walking, bending, and moderate lifting (up to 50 pounds). Safety is our top priority, and you must strictly follow all safety regulations, including the mandatory use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). We are looking for individuals who are energetic, reliable, and possess a keen eye for detail. Previous experience as an order picker or in a similar warehouse role is advantageous, but we are open to training enthusiastic candidates. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick customer orders based on pick lists or RF scanner data.
- Retrieve correct items and quantities from warehouse shelves.
- Inspect picked items for any damage or defects.
- Stage picked items for the packing department.
- Maintain an organized and efficient picking path.
- Operate warehouse equipment safely, if required.
- Keep the work area clean and clutter-free.
- Adhere strictly to all warehouse safety rules and regulations, including the use of PPE.
- Meet established productivity and accuracy standards for picking.
- Assist with other warehouse duties as needed to support logistics.
- Practice safe lifting practices for items up to 50 lbs.
