Job Summary:
We are searching for a proactive and experienced Warehouse Coordinator to oversee and manage daily operations at our Washington, D.C. facility. This leadership role is pivotal in ensuring the efficiency, safety, and productivity of our warehouse staff and processes. You will be responsible for coordinating activities, managing staff, optimizing workflows, and ensuring adherence to all logistics and safety standards. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, leadership qualities, and a comprehensive understanding of warehouse management.
Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and direct warehouse staff in daily tasks.
  • Coordinate inbound and outbound logistics operations.
  • Monitor inventory levels and manage stock rotation.
  • Ensure efficient utilization of warehouse space and resources.
  • Implement and enforce safety policies and procedures, including proper use of PPE.
  • Train new employees on warehouse operations and safety protocols.
  • Maintain records of shipments, inventory, and personnel.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve operational issues promptly.
  • Liaise with other departments and external partners (e.g., carriers, suppliers).
  • Promote a culture of safety, efficiency, and continuous improvement within the logistics team.

Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree in Logistics or related field preferred.
  • Proven experience in warehouse coordination, supervision, or management.
  • Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory management, and logistics.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Proficiency in WMS and other relevant software.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Commitment to maintaining a safe working environment and enforcing PPE usage.
  • Ability to work flexible hours as needed.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and motivate a team.
