We are now looking for a Java developer to join our London team on a new exciting project

YOU ARE:

  • A JVM lover who really enjoys working with the latest technologies and design patterns
  • Eager to solve complex technical challenges, especially in cloud-based environments and event driven architecture patterns
  • Someone looking to work in a collaborative environment, sharing knowledge and helping each other
  • Experienced within the Fintech industry

YOU HAVE:

  • Significant, professional server-side software development experience
  • Solid experience programming using Core Java. Exposure to Java 17+ is a plus
  • General familiarity with data structures such as sets, hashes, caches etc
  • Experience developing Front Office financial systems, E-Trading and FIX
  • Experience in delivering OMS/EMS/Exchange systems
  • Exposure to equities trading & brokerage
  • General knowledge of data injection/inversion of control
  • Experience working in an Agile environment (Scrum, Kanban)

We create benefits with YOU in mind.

  • Flexible hybrid working model - you will have to be in the Adaptive office, or in a client office, two days per week at minimum.
  • Medical from the 1st of month following your start date (i.e. if you join on the 24th of July, it starts on the 1st of August). We have 6 Aetna plans to choose from as provided by our PEO, Justworks. We make a flat monthly contribution to your healthcare costs as follows:
    Employee: $691.42 USD
    Employee + spouse: $ USD
    Employee + child: $ USD
    Family: $ USD
  • Dental and vision from the 1st of the month following your start date - we have 3 dental and 2 vision plans to choose from. We will pay around 70% of your costs and 65% of those for your family based on the Aetna Dental PPO 2, Aetna Dental PPO 3 and MetLife Dental PPO 1.
  • 23 days of vacation per calendar year plus 11 public holidays
  • Group disability insurance: short-term and long-term (60% and taxable)
  • 401K safe harbor plan where we match contributions up to 5% of base pay on a paycheck-to-paycheck basis (you can opt-in after 90 days of service)
  • Gym subsidy of up to $50 per month (and we pay the taxes on that so it's a real $50) post probation.
