Collins Aerospace is seeking a system administrator, software engineer, or information technology specialist to perform Air Force Distributive Common Ground System (AF DCGS) / Data and Dissemination Systems Support – Centralized (DSMC) sustainment functions across GEOINT focused software and systems. This requisition is open to candidates willing to work with a well-established and evolving team at Beale AFB, California.

DSMC duties include, but are not limited to, providing technical and engineering support for new and existing data and dissemination systems on Linux and Windows operating systems. Candidates for this position should have a strong understanding of GEOINT operational workflows and the technical expertise to maintain DSMC systems and software that interface with multiple sensors, sites, and network enclaves.

New members of the Collins team will initially train with more experienced engineers but will eventually be expected to work with limited supervision. Candidates should be self-motivated, organized, possess excellent written and verbal skills, and have the ability to work independently. Candidates will be expected to support and respond to customer needs with accuracy and efficiency.

What You Will Do

  • 24x7 support of AF DCGS coalition Full Motion Video (FMV)
  • 24x7 support of AF DCGS data ingest in support of AET and processing, exploitation, and dissemination (PED) architectures
  • Support enterprise teams in comprehensive analysis, diagnostics, and fault isolation for GEOINT system systems and end-to-end network paths
  • Actively monitor and troubleshoot system issues and participate in logistics and incident reporting during problem resolution
  • Participate in integration activities by working closely with the customer and Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) when new capabilities are fielded
  • Work as part of a company agnostic team across the AF DCGS enterprise, understand company goals and customer requirements while working well with other team members in the local area

Qualifications You Must Have

  • Experience with military SIGINT domains across various platforms and expert knowledge in at least one domain SIGINT with experience as a discipline lead.
  • Prior experience building and facilitating effective teams working across shifts with a proven track record of interfacing with military leadership, specifically senior military leadership (Office/Enlisted).
  • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and a minimum of 3 years of experience.
  • Current Security+ or higher DoD 8570 certification.
  • Active and transferable TS/SCI U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date.

Qualifications We Prefer

  • Current DoD IASAE Level I certification (e.g., CASP+ CE, CISSP, etc.).
  • Experience or knowledge of Air Force Distributed Common Ground System (AF DCGS) operations.
  • Microsoft Windows OS administration and Red Hat Linux OS administration.
  • Network design and configuration familiarity.
  • Experience administering VMWare (virtual machines, storage, and resources), cross-domain data
