ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS of the Job: Primary function is to support the production line by assisting the line Supervisor in key areas that will build a strong team that can meet our production demands. The Assistant Supervisor is a vital role that regularly engages with staff and provides the Supervisor with the support needed to make sure the line runs smoothly and ultimately so the company can reach its production goals. This role will require you to complete reports daily and monthly, training new hires and assisting with line maintenance will also be part of the daily tasks. You will start by learning all positions on the line so that you have a good understanding of how everything functions, so keep an open mind coming into this because it will require a lot of training. Additional duties may be assigned as business needs change.

Hours: M-T 5:30am-4:00pm F 5:30am-12pm. Overtime after 40 hours

Job Type: Full-Time based on a 50-hour work week.

Salary: $20/hour and up depending on experience.

Location: Deere Road

Production Worker Duties:

• Assist the line supervisor, make sure the line is ready in the morning and help keep it running during production.
• Process/Evaluate raw material as it goes through the manufacturing, molding or cutting machinery.
• Be able to fill in on different positions on the line when needed.
• Grading of finished hardwood flooring.

Production Working Requirements:

• Previous leadership experience is required.
• Forklift experience is required
• High attention to detail
• Ability to learn and grow with a team
• Ability to follow procedures and directions
• Be able to lift 50-80 lbs
• Have reliable transportation – Attendance is KEY
• Able to handle a fast-paced environment
• Able to stand for long periods of time
• Able to bend, twist and walk continuously
• OSHA required steel or composite toe footwear

As an entry level position, compensation will be based on experience and expertise. Rate is based on level of lumber experience in manufacturing, equipment operation or general lumber knowledge.
