The Role
Synthesizes customer contractual needs and requirements into system test solutions that acknowledges technical, schedule and cost constraints. Develops and directs preparation and execution of comprehensive test plans, procedures and schedules for completing systems. Coordinates integrated testing activities. Reviews and evaluates test requirements to insure completeness of test program. Performs technical analysis of complete systems and prepares comprehensive system level evaluations.
This job is for an E25 HM&E Test engineer. The job of a test engineer includes: providing instructions to test trades through test procedure documentation and direct input, directing and conducting in-depth troubleshooting of mechanical and electrical systems that are not functioning as designed, providing input to senior staff and management for schedule determination, and processing of final certification paperwork to be provided to the government for system testing within the HM&E AOR.
Must Have
An ABET Bachelor's Degree and 5 years of relevant exempt experience;
Master's Degree and 3 years of relevant professional experience;
Ph.D. and 0 years of experience.
Nice to Have
- Prior experience with mechanical and electrical system certification testing
- Background in fluid dynamics and heat
