Cake Decorator

Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and creative Cake Decorator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for creating visually stunning and delicious cakes in an efficient manner. This role involves working in a fast-paced food production environment, utilizing artistic skills to craft custom cake designs for various occasions. The Cake Decorator will also assist with food preparation, packaging, and maintaining food safety standards to deliver exceptional customer experiences.

Responsibilities

• Decorate cakes with intricate designs, piping, fondant, and other decorative elements to meet customer specifications
• Prepare cakes and desserts according to recipes and quality standards, including baking and assembling layers
• Must be able to make and design at least 2 custom cakes an hour.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the decorating station and work area in compliance with food safety regulations
• Ensure all decorating tools and supplies are properly sanitized and stored after use
• Provide excellent customer service by assisting customers with custom cake orders when needed
• Follow food industry best practices for handling, storage, and sanitation to ensure product safety

Experience

• Proven experience in cake decorating, pastry arts, or culinary arts with a strong portfolio of decorated cakes or desserts
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Customer service skills necessary.
