Position Description

In this role, you will bridge the gap between our engineering and sales teams, using your technical expertise to assist in product demonstrations, address customer inquiries, and ensure successful product integration. Your primary goal will be to provide technical support to the sales team, build strong customer relationships, and drive the growth of our innovative solutions. Travel requirements are up to 40%. The SAE will work directly with customers from all US regions to support our sales team.

Responsibilities


• 
Partner closely with the sales team to develop and deliver technical solutions that address specific customer challenges.


• 
Conduct product demonstrations and presentations to showcase the capabilities and benefits of our solutions.


• 
Address customer inquiries, provide technical support, and resolve issues that may arise during the sales process.


• 
Work closely with engineering and product development teams to understand and communicate product features, enhancements, and future roadmaps.


• 
Provide valuable insights on customer needs and market trends to drive continuous innovation.


• 
Assist in preparing technical proposals, including documentation and detailed specifications, ensuring accuracy and clarity.


• 
Participate in trade shows, conferences, and other industry events to promote our products and build strong relationships with potential customers.


• 
Provide feedback to the product development team on customer needs and market trends to drive continuous improvement.


• 
Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and all sales support activities in a web-based CRM.

Skills & Qualifications


• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.


• Experience in technical sales, field application engineering, or related roles where you've demonstrated the ability to explain complex technical concepts to customers. Experience with NDT technology is a plus.


• Strong technical background with the ability to understand and communicate complex technical concepts.


• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to build strong relationships and establish credibility with customers and internal teams.


• Technical writing skills with the ability to contribute to technical reports, white papers, and presentations for industry conferences and publications.


• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think creatively to address customer needs.


• Proficiency in CRM software and other technical tools.


• Willingness to travel as required to meet with customers and attend industry events.


• Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects,  and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.


• Preferred – Experience and knowledge of pipeline material verification technologies, applications, and associated pipeline regulations.

Job Location

Candidates ideally would be based in Massachusetts (Boston area - Company HQ) , Texas (Houston area - Customer center of gravity) or Alberta (Calgary area - oil and gas industry focus). Candidates can be located anywhere in the Northeastern US, Southern US or in Western Canada - location close to a major airport is preferred.

Compensation and Benefits

MMT offers a competitive compensation package including base salary, quarterly commissions and a performance-based annual bonus. Base Salary is targeted to be between $100,000 - $120,000. Additional benefits include medical, dental, vision and life insurance, PTO, LTD and 401(k).
