We are currently seeking an experienced Electrical Estimator to join our in-office team. This role is critical to our continued growth and success, working alongside our Electricians, Estimators, and Project Managers to help win high-quality projects and deliver exceptional results.

About the Role

As an Electrical Estimator, you will work closely with suppliers, general contractors, and internal teams to develop accurate, competitive bids. You will be responsible for take-offs, detailed proposals, value engineering ideas, and smooth project handoffs—while building strong relationships with both new and existing customers.

This is a full-time, in-office position.

Key Objectives

• Represent MV Power Solutions in a professional and positive manner
• Support and help cultivate the estimating department
• Bid new work with a target win ratio of 10–20%
• Develop and communicate value engineering (VE) ideas to help secure projects
• Collaborate with the Project Management team to ensure seamless project turnover
• Contribute to MV Power Solutions' positive, team-oriented culture

Responsibilities

• Analyze drawings and specifications
• Perform detailed electrical take-offs using Accubid
• Organize and analyze subcontractor quotations for accuracy
• Develop comprehensive cost estimates for all electrical scopes of work
• Provide breakout costs and VE details to managers, owners, and general contractors
• Deliver thorough and well-documented project handoffs to the Project Management team
• Collaborate with vendors, general contractors, and installation teams to develop winning strategies
• Maintain high-level communication with all stakeholders
• Perform other related duties as assigned

Required Skills & Experience

• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• 2+ years of electrical estimating experience (preferred)
• Proficiency with Accubid, LiveCount, and Bluebeam
• Self-motivated with the ability to adapt to changing strategies
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
• Willingness and ability to learn new software as technology evolves

Compensation & Benefits

• Salary: $70,000–$110,000 (commensurate with experience)
• 2 weeks PTO plus paid holidays starting Day 1
