Security Shift Supervisor

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Security Shift Supervisor to oversee daily operations and ensure a safe and efficient environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in law enforcement or security management, with skills in conflict resolution and loss prevention. This role requires effective leadership abilities to manage staff, enforce policies, and maintain high standards of safety and security.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate the activities of staff during assigned shifts to ensure operational efficiency.
• Monitor surveillance systems (CCTV) to detect suspicious activities or potential security breaches.
• Implement loss prevention strategies to minimize theft and ensure the safety of personnel and property.
• Conduct regular inspections of the premises to identify safety hazards or maintenance needs.
• Train and mentor team members on safety protocols, emergency procedures, and conflict management techniques.
• Respond promptly to incidents or emergencies, utilizing CPR and First Aid skills as necessary.
• Maintain accurate records of incidents, employee performance, and shift reports for management review.
• Collaborate with law enforcement agencies as needed to address security concerns or incidents.

Requirements

• Previous experience 3-5 years in a supervisory role within law enforcement, security, or related fields is preferred.
• Certification in CPR and First Aid is highly desirable.
• Strong knowledge of surveillance systems (CCTV) and loss prevention techniques.
• Proven conflict management skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
• Military experience is a plus but not mandatory.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to lead a team effectively.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
