Human Resources Manager (Recruiter)
Key Responsibilities
- Actively source candidates through social media and professional networks
- Build and maintain a network of contacts and partnerships to create a strong candidate pool for current and future openings
- Manage the full recruitment process in alignment with company staffing needs defined by management
- Post job openings, screen resumes, and coordinate interviews
- Develop and execute onboarding programs for new employees
- Review and update company policies to ensure compliance with federal and state employment laws (FMLA, EEO, health & safety, privacy, etc.)
- Maintain accurate and compliant employee records
- Support a positive workplace culture through training, communication, and leadership development
- Address and resolve employee relations issues; handle investigations when necessary
- Provide guidance on onboarding, performance management, corrective actions, and employee engagement
- Administer employee benefits (health/dental/vision insurance, 401(k), life and disability plans, COBRA, etc.)
- Coordinate annual benefits renewals and negotiate with brokers and providers
- Handle communication with federal and state agencies (IRS, DOL, Department of Employment Security, etc.)
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field
- Minimum 5+ years of HR experience
- Previous logistics or transportation industry experience preferred
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
- Ability to multitask and manage priorities in a fast-paced environment
- High level of integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality
- Solution-oriented, flexible, and proactive mindset
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and internet-based tools
