Program Supervisor Qualification and Competencies
- Bachelor's Degree required in Human Services field. Master's Degree preferred.
- At least two (2) year experience working with the mentally ill population.
- At least one (1) year supervisory experience.
- Ability to implement and manage change in a fast-paced growing business environment.
- Critical thinking and sound judgment skills
- Computer/office equipment usage
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Demonstrates organizational and communication skills which would enable effective interaction with agency staff, consumers/clients/families and the community.
General Description
Program Supervisor provides oversight of staff and residents in the Supportive Housing Program. Supervise and coordinator activities in the SH Program. Facilitates the care and coordination of treatment and ensures quality of care is provided to residents in accordance with agency philosophy, policies, and procedures.
Program Supervisor Duties and Responsibilities
- Provides direct, face-to-face services to recipients from diverse backgrounds in the community (off-site) as needed based on recipients and/or family preferences.
- Engages participants to support all aspects of daily living by inclusively developing, implementing, and modifying person-centered goals with participants to foster quality of care.
- Provides counseling, supportive services and different strategies to maintain client safety and wellness including maintaining medical or physical needs, maintaining adequate housing and/or providing job coaching assistance.
- Ensures health, psychiatric, medication and case management services are provided for each resident within the program. Activities may include referring to and linking residents to services, advocating and monitoring delivery of services.
- Coordinates development and implementation of individual service plans, reviews, behavioral contracts, and discharge plans.
- Make visits to residents as needed.
- Provides crisis management services. Includes making collateral contacts. Ensure regular contact with all members of an individual resident's treatment team, including family members.
- Provides supportive counseling and ensures supportive counseling is offered to each resident.
- Interview and select tenants for Program.
- Assist in the design of required forms and ensure that all required documentation is accurately completed in a timely manner.
- Act as liaison between staff, tenants, and various treatments team members.
- Provide crisis intervention including sharing on call responsibilities with other staff in the Supportive Housing system.
- Interviews with potential staff members and make recommendations to the Program Director and HR regarding hiring. Human Resources reserves the right to make the final decision regarding hiring.
- Participates in and/or provides in-service training.
- Routinely inspect apartments for needed maintenance.
- Ensure implementation of the Fire Safety Program.
- Maintains Petty Cash.
- Conduct apartment inspections to determine what repairs are needed. Reports problems to appropriate personnel and follows through with submitting work orders
- Accepts and follows through on any other task or duty as assigned or required.
