Description

Pulaski High School is looking for you We are looking for a long term substitute for a maternity leave. This is a temporary position, Monday through Friday, 7am to 3pm

Job Goal: To provide a multi level system of interventions and supports for students with a wide range of learning, emotional, behavioral, physical and intellectual disabilities. Will teach in a collaborative

effort of various subjects, such as reading, writing, math and social skills instruction in an inclusive setting.

Qualifications:

  • Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction special education certification, number 1810, 1811, 1801 or 1830 in the high school setting

  • Ability to collaborate with parents, teachers, and community members in order to help students meet individual goals.

  • Passion for teaching students with various challenges. (physical, ability, communication and/or behavioral)

  • Teaching assignment will be based on the individual needs of the students.

  • Must be willing to team teach and/or act as a resource to regular education teachers.

  • Training and/or experience in teaching social communication and appropriate expected behaviors.

  • Must have a desire to work in a collaborative, team approach in supporting students.

  • Willingness to incorporate interventions in classroom activities

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

  • Strong planning skills

  • Experience with developing and writing IEPs

  • A desire to promote family involvement in school and community

  • Highly developed interpersonal skills

  • Excellent classroom management skills
