Warner Avenue Animal Hospital was established in Fountain Valley, CA in the 1960s but has recently undergone a major reconstruction to make it the most state-of-the-art general practice animal hospital in Orange County. We are professional, agile, innovative and our goal is to provide the best possible care for all pets, while giving the best customer service to our clients.

We are seeking a skilled Veterinary Technician to join our team. Our ideal candidate will assist in providing high-quality care to our animal patients and support our veterinary staff in various clinical and administrative tasks.

Duties

• Utilize aseptic techniques to assist veterinarians during surgical procedures

• Perform dental cleanings and assist with dental procedures

• Apply knowledge of animal anatomy to assist in treatments and surgeries

• Handle animal restraint during examinations and treatments

• Ensure proper animal care, including feeding, grooming, and monitoring health

• Conduct laboratory tests and analyze results under veterinary supervision

• Perform blood draws and place I.V. catheters

• Assist in diagnostic imagining such as ultrasound, x-ray, etc.

Skills

• Proficiency in aseptic technique for surgical preparation

• Knowledge of veterinary practices and terminology

• Familiarity with dental procedures in animals

• Understanding of animal anatomy and physiology

• Ability to effectively restrain animals during treatment/procedures

• Strong animal care skills and compassion for pets

• Capability to perform laboratory tests

• Effective communication skills, especially between doctor and clients

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $ $24.00 per hour

Experience:

• Veterinary experience: 1 year (Preferred)

Ability to Commute:

• Fountain Valley, CA Required)
