Responsibilities
- Staying updated on current menu choices, specialties and menu edits
- Presenting menus, suggesting dishes, assisting in drink selection, informing guests about food preparation details
- Maintaining proper dining experience, delivering items, fulfilling customer needs, offering desserts and drinks, removing courses, replenishing utensils, refilling glasses
- Properly open and pour wine at the tableside
- Performing basic cleaning tasks as needed
- Assisting with special events as needed
- Greet all guests in a hospitable and warm manner
- Understand and communicate all products and services available
- Must have some familiarity with basic food knowledge
- Commit to delivering high levels of customer service
- Practice appropriate/required safety and sanitation procedures at all times
- Handling cash and credit transactions, ensuring charges are accurate and returning correct change to guests.
- High School diploma or GED
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in fine dining hospitality and/or casual dining restaurant
- Able to multi-task
- Ability to stand for long period so time, lift 25 lbs., and bend, climb or work in confined spaces
- Customer service focused and solution oriented
- Must enjoy and be able to succeed in a fast-paced work environment
- Ability to work a flexible schedule based on restaurant needs
- Food handler's card may be required according to local and or state regulations
