Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Housekeeping Inspector to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness, safety, and overall quality of guest rooms and public areas. This role requires a strong understanding of cleaning standards, hospitality operations, and management of housekeeping staff to maintain high levels of guest satisfaction. The Housekeeping Inspector plays a vital role in upholding the organization's reputation for cleanliness and excellence.
Duties
- Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms, suites, and public spaces to ensure compliance with cleanliness and safety standards.
- Identify areas needing attention or repair and communicate findings to housekeeping staff or management.
- Verify that all cleaning tasks are completed thoroughly, including floor care, dusting, sanitation, and restocking supplies.
- Monitor the proper use of cleaning equipment and supplies, ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
- Provide feedback and coaching to housekeeping staff to improve performance and maintain consistent quality.
- Maintain detailed inspection reports and documentation for management review.
- Collaborate with housekeeping management to develop training programs focused on cleaning procedures and standards.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations across all areas inspected.
Requirements
- Proven experience in cleaning, janitorial work, or hospitality-related roles such as hotel housekeeping or industrial cleaning.
- Strong knowledge of floor care techniques and custodial practices.
- Previous experience in housekeeping management or supervisory roles is preferred.
- Excellent attention to detail with a keen eye for cleanliness and safety standards.
- Ability to inspect multiple areas efficiently while maintaining high standards of quality.
- Good communication skills for providing constructive feedback and reporting issues effectively.
- Knowledge of cleaning equipment, supplies, and safety procedures related to custodial work.
