About the Opportunity:
The organization provides an agentic platform that enables trustworthy AI, analytics, and reporting. Its technology supports companies in preparing, creating, and maintaining structured, reliable data by continuously cleaning and aligning information from disparate systems. The purpose of this role is to lead the core product engineering team, manage both leadership and hands-on development responsibilities, and support the development of data engineering workloads and the analytics platform.
Responsibilities:
• Manage, mentor, and grow a team of 3 to 6 full-stack software engineers
• Own team delivery, velocity, and technical quality
• Partner with CTO and CEO on roadmap, prioritization, and resourcing
• Build hiring pipelines as the team scales
• Ensure project tracking and code quality systems remain up to date
• Write and review production code (currently TypeScript) using spec- and test-driven development practices
• Architect data engineering pipelines to ingest, clean, and transform customer data
• Integrate AI codegen tools into team workflows and production systems
• Contribute to agentic data cleaning and data layering features
Requirements:
• 7+ years of software engineering experience, including hands-on data engineering
• Prior experience managing engineers (team lead, Engineering Manager, or equivalent)
• Strong product awareness and customer-centric approach
• Production experience with public-cloud data services such as AWS or Snowflake
• Hands-on experience using CLI-forward AI codegen agents (Claude Code, Codex CLI, Aider, or similar) in production workflows
• Strong opinions about integrating AI tooling into engineering team practices
• Availability during US Eastern working hours
Nice to Have:
• Experience building analytics or BI platforms
• Demonstrated experience taking ideas from concept to product
• Background in agentic AI systems or LLM-powered automation
• Familiarity with data quality, transformation, or semantic layer tools
• Experience working in Series A–B stage startups
• Compliance knowledge in SOC 2, audit trails, or regulatory data handling
