SERHHS (Southeast Regional Health and Human Services) is a human services organization serving southeast, Pennsylvania. We provide services to individuals with intellectual disability, autism and dually diagnosed.

We are looking for a Direct Support Professional to join our team and provide assistance to individuals with disabilities. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing direct support to individuals in their homes, in the community, and other settings. This includes helping them with daily living activities, providing emotional support, teaching new skills, and advocating for their rights. The ideal candidate will have a passion for helping others and an understanding of the challenges faced by individuals with disabilities.

Responsibilities:

• Provide assistance to individuals with intellectual disability and or autism in their daily activities.
• Assist with personal care needs such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
• Support individuals in developing and maintaining independent living skills.
• Provide transportation for individuals to appointments and activities.
• Maintain accurate records of services provided through completion of documented progress notes on each shift.
• Provide emotional support to individuals, assisting them with managing any behaviors that may impact their health and safety.
• Communicate effectively with other staff members and supervisors.

Job Requirements:

• Must have a high school diploma, GED or an Associates

• Valid Drivers Licence, Social Security and Insurance

• CPR/First Aid Certified

• Complete Physical and PPD done within the past year

• Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs

• Must be willing to consent to a back ground check

Pay: $ $23.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
