Construction Superintendent

One of Central New York's leading real estate development and property management firms is seeking a Construction Superintendent

Position Overview:
The Construction Superintendent is responsible for overseeing day-to-day field operations, coordinating subcontractors, ensuring job site safety, and managing schedules to drive the project to successful completion. This is an on-site leadership role requiring strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and supervise all on-site construction activities.
• Coordinate and schedule subcontractors, suppliers, and inspections.
• Ensure all work is performed in accordance with plans, specifications, and building codes.
• Monitor job site safety, enforce OSHA requirements, and conduct regular safety meetings.
• Maintain daily logs, field reports, and project documentation.
• Troubleshoot issues and provide effective solutions to keep the project on track.
• Communicate regularly with project managers, architects, engineers, and clients.
• Ensure the project stays on schedule and within budget.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in construction supervision or similar role.
• Proven experience managing commercial or residential construction projects.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, scheduling, and building codes.
• OSHA certification preferred.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
• Proficient with project management software, MS Office, and construction technology.
