Join our growing logistics team in Huntsville, Alabama as a Material Handler! We are seeking dedicated individuals to support the efficient flow of goods through our distribution center. As a Material Handler, you will be involved in various aspects of warehouse operations, including receiving, stocking, picking, packing, and shipping. Your primary responsibilities will include moving materials manually or with equipment, organizing inventory, and ensuring that products are handled with care. This role is fundamental to the success of our supply chain, ensuring that goods are processed accurately and promptly. The ideal candidate will be physically fit, possess a strong work ethic, and have a commitment to maintaining a safe and organized work environment. You will be required to perform tasks that involve regular lifting of up to 50 lbs, as well as standing, walking, and bending for extended periods. We are committed to workplace safety, and all employees must adhere to strict safety protocols and utilize the necessary personal protective equipment (PPE). This is an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to gain experience in a fast-paced logistics setting and contribute to a dynamic team. Responsibilities:
- Load and unload materials from trucks and containers.
- Move inventory to and from storage areas.
- Organize and arrange stock within the warehouse.
- Assist with picking and packing orders as needed.
- Operate pallet jacks and hand trucks for material transport.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas.
- Follow all company safety procedures and guidelines.
- Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.
- Participate in inventory cycle counts and checks.
- Identify and report any damaged goods or safety hazards.
- Support team members in achieving daily operational goals.
- Contribute to a positive and efficient warehouse atmosphere.
