Seeking a meticulous Inventory Control Specialist for our St. Louis, Missouri facility. This role is vital to maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our warehouse inventory, a cornerstone of our logistics operations. You will be responsible for managing, tracking, and analyzing inventory levels to ensure optimal stock availability and minimize discrepancies. Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventory audits to verify stock accuracy.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions.
- Maintain accurate inventory records in the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
- Monitor inventory levels and reorder points, coordinating with purchasing for replenishment.
- Track the movement of goods within the warehouse, ensuring all transactions are recorded properly.
- Implement and enforce inventory control procedures and best practices.
- Analyze inventory data to identify trends, slow-moving items, and potential obsolescence.
- Ensure proper storage and handling of inventory to prevent damage or loss.
- Work closely with warehouse associates and management to improve inventory accuracy and efficiency.
- Adhere to all Safety regulations and ensure the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) in all areas.
- Generate reports on inventory status, accuracy, and movement for management review.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives within the logistics and warehousing departments.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, or related field preferred.
- Proven experience in inventory control, warehouse management, or a similar role.
- Proficiency with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and inventory software.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to perform physical tasks as needed, including some Lifting.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of Safety protocols and the importance of PPE.
- Organizational and time-management abilities.
