We are seeking an experienced Inventory Control Specialist to join our growing warehouse operations in Jacksonville, Florida. This position is essential for maintaining the accuracy, integrity, and optimization of our inventory. You will be responsible for implementing and managing inventory control procedures, conducting cycle counts, investigating discrepancies, and ensuring that our warehouse management system (WMS) reflects precise stock levels. Your analytical skills and commitment to accuracy will directly impact our supply chain efficiency and customer satisfaction. We value a safe, organized, and productive work environment.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily inventory control activities, including cycle counting and stock verification.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions.
- Maintain the accuracy and integrity of inventory records within the WMS.
- Develop and refine inventory control processes to improve efficiency and reduce errors.
- Monitor stock levels and report on inventory status, including aging stock and potential obsolescence.
- Conduct regular audits of inventory storage locations to ensure organization, accuracy, and proper product handling.
- Collaborate with receiving, shipping, and operations teams to ensure seamless inventory flow.
- Assist in physical inventory counts and reconciliation efforts.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, including proper material handling and the use of PPE.
- Analyze inventory data to provide insights and recommendations for improvement in logistics and operations.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as an Inventory Control Specialist or in a similar warehouse inventory role.
- Strong proficiency with WMS software and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational abilities.
- High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to lift up to 30 pounds.
- Understanding of logistics and supply chain management principles.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.
