We are seeking a dedicated Order Picker to join our thriving logistics team in Nashville, Tennessee. As an Order Picker, you will play a critical role in the efficient flow of goods through our warehouse. Your main responsibility will be to accurately retrieve specific items from warehouse shelves and prepare them for shipment. This position requires a keen eye for detail, physical stamina, and a commitment to maintaining a safe working environment. You will be part of a supportive team that values efficiency, accuracy, and collaboration. The ability to work independently and as part of a team is essential. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick customer orders using RF scanners and pick lists.
- Locate and retrieve products from various warehouse locations.
- Verify product information and quantities before moving items.
- Pack picked items securely for shipment, ensuring no damage occurs.
- Stage orders for shipping, ensuring correct routing.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety standards.
- Operate equipment such as pallet jacks and carts safely.
- Participate in inventory counts and stock rotation.
- Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and safety guidelines, including the use of appropriate PPE.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members regarding order status and any discrepancies.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or order picking role is advantageous.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and stoop for extended periods.
- Capability of lifting items up to 40 lbs regularly.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) and RF scanners is a plus.
- Understanding of logistics and inventory control principles.
- Commitment to safety protocols and the proper use of PPE.
