Join our vibrant warehouse team in San Antonio, Texas, as a Picker/Packer! This role is crucial for the timely and accurate fulfillment of customer orders. As a Picker/Packer, your primary duties will involve accurately retrieving specified items from warehouse shelves and then carefully and efficiently packing these items for shipment. Success in this role requires excellent attention to detail, speed, and a commitment to maintaining high-quality standards. You will utilize scanning technology to track inventory movements and ensure order accuracy. A strong emphasis is placed on workplace Safety; adherence to all Safety procedures and the consistent use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) are mandatory. This position requires individuals who are comfortable with physical activity, including prolonged periods of standing, walking, bending, and occasional Lifting. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items from warehouse locations using order pick lists and RF scanners.
- Verify item accuracy (SKU, quantity) during the picking process.
- Inspect picked items for any damage or defects.
- Pack orders securely and appropriately, using correct packaging materials.
- Apply shipping labels accurately to packages.
- Stage packed orders for outbound shipment.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Follow all company Safety protocols and guidelines.
- Always wear and utilize required PPE.
- Must be able to perform manual Lifting of items up to 40 lbs.
- Contribute to the overall efficiency of the Logistics department.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in picking and packing or a related warehouse role is preferred.
- Ability to work efficiently and accurately in a fast-paced setting.
- Exceptional attention to detail.
- Experience with RF scanners is a plus.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach for extended periods.
- Capable of performing tasks involving moderate Lifting.
- Understanding of warehouse Safety standards and procedures.
- Must be a reliable team player with good communication skills.
- Flexibility to work different shifts and overtime when needed.
