We are seeking a skilled Warehouse Technician for our facility in Minneapolis, Minnesota. This role is crucial for the maintenance and operational efficiency of our warehouse. As a Warehouse Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring all equipment is functioning correctly, performing routine maintenance, and assisting with general warehouse upkeep. You'll play a key part in our logistics chain by keeping our infrastructure in optimal condition, thereby supporting seamless operations. The ideal candidate has a strong mechanical aptitude, a keen eye for detail, and a commitment to Safety. Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on warehouse equipment (e.g., forklifts, conveyor systems, dock levelers).
- Inspect equipment for potential issues and address them proactively.
- Ensure all machinery operates in accordance with safety standards.
- Assist with the installation and setup of new equipment.
- Maintain an inventory of spare parts and supplies for equipment repair.
- Adhere to all Safety regulations and implement best practices.
- Ensure proper use of PPE for all maintenance tasks.
- Support logistics operations by minimizing equipment downtime.
- Assist with general warehouse duties as needed, including some Lifting and moving of materials.
- Keep detailed records of maintenance and repair activities.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in the warehouse.
- Ensure a clean and organized work area, focusing on Safety.
Proven experience as a maintenance technician or in a similar technical role. Mechanical aptitude and experience with hand and power tools. Knowledge of warehouse equipment and machinery. Ability to read technical manuals and schematics. Strong understanding of Safety procedures. Physical ability to perform tasks including some Lifting and working in various warehouse conditions. Familiarity with logistics operations is a plus.
