Join our team in St. Louis, Missouri, as a Material Handler! We are seeking individuals who are adept at moving, locating, relocating, stacking, and counting merchandise. This role is crucial for maintaining the smooth flow of materials within our distribution center and supporting our overall logistics operations. You will be responsible for ensuring materials are handled safely and efficiently, contributing to productivity and order accuracy.
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload materials from trucks and into storage areas.
- Move materials around the warehouse to designated locations.
- Assist with inventory control and cycle counting activities.
- Inspect equipment before and after use.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to all safety guidelines.
- Proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is required at all times.
- This physically demanding role requires consistent movement and coordination.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting up to 60 lbs regularly.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Material Handler or in a similar warehouse role.
- Valid forklift certification is a strong asset.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems.
- Strong understanding of safe material handling practices.
- Good physical condition and ability to perform strenuous tasks.
- Team player with good communication skills.
- Knowledge of general logistics and supply chain processes.
- Must be able to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
