Are you a safety-conscious and experienced Forklift Operator looking for a new opportunity in Dallas, Texas? We are hiring a motivated individual to operate forklifts and other material handling equipment within our busy distribution center. This role is fundamental to our logistics operations, ensuring that products are moved efficiently, accurately, and safely from receiving to shipping. You will be responsible for loading and unloading trucks, moving inventory within the warehouse, and supporting various operational tasks. A strong understanding of warehouse procedures and a commitment to safety are essential for success in this position.
Responsibilities:
- Safely and efficiently operate forklifts (sit-down, stand-up, electric, propane) to move materials and products throughout the warehouse.
- Load and unload trucks, ensuring proper placement and securing of goods.
- Transport inventory from receiving docks to storage areas, and from storage to shipping docks.
- Perform pre-operation inspections of forklifts and other equipment, reporting any issues promptly.
- Maintain accurate logs of inventory movements and operational activities.
- Follow all safety guidelines and protocols, including proper use of PPE.
- Assist with cycle counts and inventory verification as needed.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures regarding warehouse operations and safety.
- Be prepared for frequent lifting of items up to 40 lbs.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or logistics setting.
- Valid forklift operator certification is a plus.
- Demonstrated knowledge of safe operating procedures for various types of forklifts.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling inventory.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
- Understanding of warehouse layouts and inventory management principles.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment and utilizing required PPE.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
