About the Company

We are seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to serve as a senior technical leader within a high-volume, high-speed manufacturing operation. This role is responsible for leading Engineering, Maintenance, and Quality functions to maximize production performance while achieving capital, cost, and reliability objectives. This is a highly visible plant leadership role requiring a strong mix of technical expertise, people leadership, and financial acumen, with a focus on capital deployment, equipment reliability, and development of a high-performing technical organization.

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and provide strategic direction for Engineering, Maintenance, and Quality teams to support plant throughput, uptime, safety, and cost targets.
  • Develop, coach, and manage a multidisciplinary technical team, including hiring, onboarding, performance management, and employee development.
  • Ensure production equipment, utilities, and facilities are maintained to support safe, reliable, and efficient operations.
  • Own and manage the plant capital budget and engineering expense budget, including planning, forecasting, and execution.
  • Identify, evaluate, and prioritize capital investment opportunities in partnership with plant leadership.
  • Prepare and manage Capital Authorization Requests (CARs) and oversee execution of approved capital projects.
  • Provide hands-on engineering support to improve reliability, process performance, and production efficiency.
  • Lead and coordinate cross-functional initiatives across manufacturing, quality, continuous improvement, and process engineering.
  • Manage Annual Operating Plan (AOP) budgets, including maintenance materials, utilities, and building and grounds expenses.
  • Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and support plant safety and EH&S programs.
  • Drive data-driven decision-making through strong analytical, financial, and problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering preferred; equivalent technical and leadership experience considered.
  • 5–12 years of progressive experience in engineering and/or maintenance within a manufacturing environment.
  • Prior people leadership experience required.
  • Strong knowledge of maintenance and reliability systems, capital project management, and manufacturing equipment.
  • Experience in high-speed, high-volume, equipment-intensive production environments strongly preferred.
  • Proven ability to manage budgets, analyze costs, and prioritize technical investments.
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and leadership skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to solve complex technical and operational challenges.

Preferred Skills

  • Background in maintenance leadership with strong engineering exposure.
  • Experience supporting quality, continuous improvement, and process engineering initiatives.
  • Exposure to large-scale capital deployment and cross-functional manufacturing projects.

Pay range and compensation package: Base + bonus = $120K - $170K
