Job Summary
Join our dynamic culinary team as a Prep Cook, where your enthusiasm for food and attention to detail will shine The hours are tuesday-sat 7am till 2pm In this vital role, you will assist in preparing ingredients, assembling dishes, and ensuring that all food items meet our high standards of quality and safety. Your energy and culinary skills will help create a seamless kitchen operation, supporting our chefs and serving our guests with delicious, well-prepared meals. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your culinary expertise in a fast-paced, supportive environment.

Duties

  • Prepare ingredients by washing, chopping, slicing, and measuring to ensure smooth kitchen operations
  • Assist in assembling dishes according to established recipes and presentation standards
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, utensils, and equipment in compliance with food safety regulations
  • Support the kitchen team during meal preparation, catering events, and food service activities
  • Handle food with care, ensuring proper storage and handling procedures are followed at all times
  • Follow menu plans and portion controls to ensure consistency and efficiency in meal production
  • Assist with inventory management by rotating stock and notifying supervisors of low supplies

Skills

  • Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, including knife skills and cooking methods
  • Familiarity with menu planning, meal assembly, and food handling best practices
  • Prior restaurant or food industry experience that demonstrates ability to work efficiently under pressure
  • Knowledge of food safety standards and sanitation practices to prevent contamination
  • Ability to support catering events and serve meals with professionalism and care
  • Excellent teamwork skills combined with a proactive attitude toward kitchen responsibilities
