Server/Cashier

Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Server/Cashier to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced food service environment. The ideal candidate will excel in providing exceptional customer service, handling food and cash transactions accurately, and maintaining a clean and welcoming dining area. Experience in food preparation, POS systems such as Toast, and familiarity with the food industry will be highly valued. This role offers an opportunity to develop culinary and retail skills while contributing to a positive customer experience.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly and take their orders accurately using POS systems like Toast
• Handle cash, credit card, and mobile payments with precision and attention to detail
• Prepare simple food items as needed, following safety and sanitation standards
• Upsell menu items to enhance customer satisfaction and increase sales
• Serve food and beverages efficiently, ensuring timely delivery to customers
• Maintain cleanliness of dining areas, counters, and workstations through bussing and sanitation practices
• Assist with food handling, storage, and basic kitchen tasks when required
• Manage customer inquiries or complaints professionally to ensure a positive dining experience
• Follow food safety regulations and proper sanitation procedures at all times

Requirements

• Previous experience in food service, cashiering, or retail is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided
• Familiarity with POS systems such as Toast is a plus
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively
• Basic math skills for cash handling, making change, and sales transactions
• Knowledge of food safety standards and sanitation practices in a quick service or fast food restaurant setting
• Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
• Culinary experience or kitchen background is advantageous but not required
• Must be able to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays as needed

Pay: $17.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35.0 – 45.0 per week
