We are seeking a Restaurant General Manager in Clayton, GA to lead daily operations, develop strong teams, and ensure an exceptional guest experience while maintaining a clear understanding of the financial performance of the business.
The Role
The Restaurant General Manager is responsible for the overall success of the restaurant, including guest experience, team training, financial performance, beverage operations, event execution, and close collaboration with the Executive Chef on all food-related matters. This role requires a visible leader—someone comfortable on the floor, confident with the numbers, and committed to building a strong culture.
Key ResponsibilitiesGuest Experience & Culture
- Set and uphold hospitality and service standards across the restaurant and bar
- Lead from the floor, engaging with guests and resolving issues in real time
- Ensure every guest interaction reflects Stay Ridgeline's hospitality values
- Build a culture rooted in accountability, professionalism, and pride in service
Training & Team Development
- Hire, onboard, and train front-of-house and bar teams
- Develop supervisors and managers through ongoing coaching and feedback
- Implement consistent service, hospitality, and operational training standards
- Create clear expectations around performance, conduct, and guest experience
Partnership with Executive Chef (Food Operations)
- Work closely with the Executive Chef on all aspects of food operations
- Collaborate on menu development, pricing, and presentation
- Align staffing, service flow, and kitchen execution with guest demand
- Support food cost controls, inventory management, and waste reduction
- Ensure food quality, consistency, and timing meet Stay Ridgeline standards
- Partner on execution of events, private dining, and special menus
Financial & Operational Management
- Own the financial performance of the restaurant, including labor and cost controls
- Build schedules aligned with volume, seasonality, and events
- Monitor food and beverage costs, purchasing, and inventory processes
- Understand and communicate key performance metrics (sales, labor %, margins)
- Ensure accurate cash handling, reporting, and internal controls
Beverage & Bar Operations
- Maintain strong knowledge of beer, wine, spirits, and cocktails
- Oversee bar operations, pricing, menus, and inventory
- Ensure responsible alcohol service and regulatory compliance
- Drive beverage revenue through thoughtful programming and execution
Events & Private Dining
- Oversee planning and execution of private events and group dining
- Coordinate staffing, menus, beverage service, and timelines
- Ensure events are profitable, well-staffed, and well-executed
- Partner with hotel leadership and sales teams as applicable
Standards, Safety & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations
- Maintain cleanliness, facility, and equipment standards
- Partner with maintenance teams and vendors as needed
Qualifications
- 3+ years of restaurant general management experience
- Strong understanding of restaurant financials and operational controls
- Proven experience training and developing teams
- Experience working closely with a Chef or culinary leadership team
- Solid beverage and bar management knowledge
- Events or private dining experience preferred
- Strong leadership, organization, and communication skills
- Flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $60, $68,000.00 per year
