Plumber Helper

Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and dependable Plumber Helper to assist experienced plumbers on construction sites and maintenance projects. This entry-level position offers an excellent opportunity to develop skills in plumbing, construction, and mechanical systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, a willingness to learn, and basic knowledge of tools and construction practices. Prior experience in construction or related fields is preferred but not required. This role involves hands-on work with plumbing systems, pipe threading, and various construction tasks to support the successful completion of projects.

Responsibilities

• Assist licensed plumbers with installation, repair, and maintenance of plumbing systems in residential, commercial, and industrial settings
• Use hand tools, power tools, and pipe threading equipment to cut, assemble, and install piping according to schematics and blueprints
• Read and interpret basic schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings to aid in project execution
• Support with welding and fabrication tasks when necessary
• Help with remodeling, maintenance, and general construction activities including carpentry and assembly work
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to safety protocols and OSHA standards
• Carry out basic math calculations for measurements and material estimations
• Assist with troubleshooting mechanical issues related to plumbing or HVAC systems as needed
• Support field service operations by transporting materials and equipment around job sites

Experience

• Construction site experience or hands-on work in plumbing or related trades is advantageous
• Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, pipe threading, and schematics is preferred
• Knowledge of basic math, blueprint reading, mechanical systems, HVAC fundamentals, carpentry, remodeling, maintenance, and maintenance person skills will be beneficial
• Prior experience in assembly or field service roles can be an asset
• Willingness to learn new skills on the job through paid training opportunities
