About The Role
MANTECH is seeking a motivated, career-driven, and customer-oriented Senior Principal Cyber Security Engineer to join our dynamic team in Chantilly, VA. This pivotal role is integral to supporting enterprise-wide cybersecurity operations by providing advanced engineering expertise across Comply-to-Connect (C2C) solutions in both classified and unclassified environments. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining secure network architectures, supporting cybersecurity assessments, and ensuring system integrity and performance. This position offers an excellent opportunity for a seasoned cybersecurity professional to contribute to high-impact projects that safeguard critical infrastructure and national security interests.

Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree in a related field or have equivalent cyber experience with 4+ years in lieu of a degree. A minimum of 10+ years of cybersecurity experience is required, demonstrating a strong background in large-scale enterprise network deployments and data center operations. Hands-on experience with enterprise security software such as firewalls, intrusion prevention systems (IPS), anti-virus solutions, application firewalls, and high availability systems is essential. The candidate should have a solid understanding of Windows and Linux operating systems, TCP/IP networking, and network security principles including 802.1x. An active IAT Level II certification such as GSEC, Security+, SSCP, or CCNA-Security is required, or the ability to obtain one within six months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Engineer, design, implement, and support Comply-to-Connect (C2C) deployment activities, ensuring smooth migration, deployment, and maintenance of C2C services.
• Manage and sustain appliances, applications, servers, and supporting infrastructure within both unclassified and classified environments, ensuring optimal performance and security.
• Collaborate with network service providers to develop and maintain detailed network architecture diagrams and documentation.
• Evaluate existing systems and recommend technological upgrades or modifications to enhance performance, standardization, and compliance with industry best practices.
• Monitor system performance, investigate faults, and implement improvements to increase reliability and system uptime.
• Engage with team members and clients at various organizational levels to gather technical requirements, communicate findings, and coordinate cybersecurity activities effectively.
• Support assessment and authorization activities related to cybersecurity technologies, ensuring compliance with applicable standards and policies.
