Position Overview:
An Assistant Project Manager will function as a key team member to support Operations Project Managers in overseeing all aspects of projects from inception to completion. They will be consulting with internal teams to expedite the supplies needed to maintain schedule deliverables. Acts as a technical resource for internal and external customers/contacts by providing answers to inquiries and coordinating responses; resolving problems and/or discrepancies which may involve research and data collection.
Key Responsibilities:
Coordinate procurement process, inclusive of completing material take-offs, sending our RFQ's, ordering materials, and ensuring materials arrive to staging and drop zones timely.
Review and verify drawings, specifications, BOMs, work orders and material availability prior to and during manufacturing.
Plan and manage internal and external expediting to maintain project schedules.
Assist in producing and managing ship loose list.
Assist in producing and managing RCL list.
Development of Technical queries, finding solutions and sending internal and external RFI's to ensure engineering resolution to support site operations.
Assist as needed in documentation and reporting of current projects and coordinate all team members to keep workflow on track.
Conduct administrative duties in the development and implementation of department policies and procedures related to planning and execution.
Support on any other requested task related to the projects activities under scope or as requested by direct management.
Qualifications:
Preferred to have BS/BA degree, or previous experience in project coordination/management.
Minimum of (2) years' experience in industrial, technical, or manufacturing environment.
Able to travel to various job sites.
Exceptional verbal, written, and presentation skills.
Ability to adapt to fast paced and evolving work environment, effectively working both independently and as part of a team.
Additional Notes:
Works in an office environment. Requires occasionally performing activities including, but not limited to, bending, stooping, grasping, reaching, twisting, turning and/or lifting.
