Solar Electrician

Position Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Solar Electrician to join our team. The Solar Electrician will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting electrical components of solar photovoltaic (PV) systems. This role requires a strong understanding of electrical systems, safety standards, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a crew.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, test, and maintain solar PV electrical components including inverters, wiring, grounding, and panel connections.

• Read and interpret blueprints, technical diagrams, and electrical codes to ensure safe and accurate installation.

• Troubleshoot system issues, perform diagnostics, and complete repairs as needed.

• Ensure compliance with NEC (National Electrical Code), local regulations, and company safety standards.

• Collaborate with solar installers, project managers, and crew leads to complete projects on schedule.

• Conduct system performance tests and inspections to verify proper operation.

• Maintain accurate documentation of installations, service, and repairs.

• Train and guide junior team members or apprentices when necessary.

Qualifications:

• Valid state Electrician License (Journeyman or Master preferred).

• Experience with solar PV systems strongly preferred.

• Strong knowledge of NEC codes and electrical safety standards.

• Ability to work outdoors, at heights, and in various weather conditions.

• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

• Excellent teamwork and communication abilities.

• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Preferred Skills:

• OSHA certification or safety training.

• Experience with battery storage systems or hybrid energy systems.

• Familiarity with advanced metering, monitoring software, and system integration.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $ $40.00 per hour
