DLS Events, a premier food and beverage solution company is seeking an HR Coordinator 2 to join our HR team. The successful candidate will be well rounded in all HR disciplines. This is a mid-level position where you can grow your career while gaining valuable experience while working with a specific region of our growing stable of venues.

The successful candidate will be solutions orientated and an independent thinker who focuses on outside the box solutions as well as having best in class customer service skills. We seek candidates who desire to their HR knowledge while working with the on-the-ground management team. This position is in office only with our location at the corner of Wilshire/Western.

HR Coordinator 2 Responsibilities:

· Interact with employees to answer queries about HR related issues, escalating as needed

· Work directly with the management team in one of regions to provide HR assistance as needed

· Approve disciplinary paperwork from the assigned region

· Process change of status requests

· Oversee the new hire onboarding experience in our HRIS system

· Help new hires through the onboarding experience

· Update HRIS with employee changes and personnel records

· Participate in HR projects as needed

· Assist in the creation, development, and deployment of HR documentation, policies, procedures, and systems

· Keep up to date with local, state, and federal labor laws

· Assist with employee relations and investigations

Required Skills:

· Working knowledge of human resource best practices

· High degree of professionalism

· HRIS experience

· Ability to deal sensitively with confidential material

· Must be able to handle multiple ongoing projects or task simultaneously

· Decision-making, problem-solving, and analytical skills are a must

· The ability to collaborate with others

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills

· Ability to identify problems and come up with out of the box solutions when necessary

· Open to learning new skills

· Comfortable with a high volume and evolving workload

· Excellent organizational skills with attention to details

· Wants to work in an office environment

Qualifications:

· Minimum of 2 years of experience in human resources

· At least 2 years as part of an HR team

· Bachelor's degree

· Familiarity with ACA, COBRA, ERISA, FMLA and related state and federal regulations

· Proficiency in Microsoft suite of programs

· Proficiency in Google docs

· Previous experience working with a distributed work force is preferred

· HR certification is a plus

· Customer service experience required

Requirements:

This position is a full-time in office position

This position requires heavy computer use so the candidate must be able to sit for the duration of their shift

Must be able to lift 15 lbs
