Carvel Ice Cream in Harrison, NJ is a small team of 4-5 workers looking to welcome a new member to the team. Our goal is to provide quality service to people who love ice cream all year round Join our dynamic team as a Crew Member and become the heartbeat of our fast-paced food service environment

RESPONSIBILITIES: Assist evening shifts, fulfill online and in-store orders, operate Cash Register), stock, clean, and help Supervisor close the store.

• MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: + 1 year cashier experience, + 1 year food service experience . Ability to work in a slow and fast-paced environment, attention to detail and accuracy in cash handling. Must be available one weekend shift (Saturday or Sunday). TYPICAL SHIFTS: 4-5 Evening Shifts per week 3PM-10PM and 5PM-10PM.

GENERAL DUTIES

• Prepare and assemble food items efficiently while maintaining high standards of quality and presentation
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in the kitchen, dining area, and food prep stations in accordance with food safety regulations
• Handle cash register operations accurately, including cash handling, credit card processing, and balancing cash drawers at shift end
• Assist with food safety practices such as proper food handling, storage, and sanitation procedures to ensure a safe environment for all
• Support team members by cleaning tables, restocking supplies, and ensuring a smooth flow during busy periods

Qualifications

• Familiarity with POS systems; basic math skills are essential for cash handling and retail math tasks
• Strong customer service skills with a positive attitude; ability to communicate clearly and work well within a team
• Ability to manage time effectively during high-volume periods while maintaining attention to detail

Pay: $ $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20.0 – 27.0 per week
