In this role, you'll be the face of Florida Hardware, delivering products directly to our customers and supporting their daily success.

Job Summary

This full-time position focuses on safely and efficiently delivering hardware and related products to retail store locations on scheduled local routes. Drivers are responsible for timely deliveries, professional customer interactions, and accurate handling of freight at delivery sites. Routes are primarily local and regional, allowing drivers to have limited overnights. Florida Hardware provides training to ensure success in both driving and customer service expectations.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a CDL-A vehicle to deliver products to retail storefront locations.
• Load, unload, and verify merchandise at customer sites.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance.
• Accurately complete delivery paperwork and obtain customer signatures as required.
• Maintain a professional, courteous presence when interacting with customers.
• Secure loads properly to prevent damage during transit.
• Communicate effectively with dispatch and warehouse teams regarding schedules and delivery issues.
• Follow all DOT, OSHA, and company safety policies at all times.
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness and report maintenance needs promptly.
• Represent Florida Hardware's long-standing reputation through reliable service.

Requirements and Skills

• Valid Class A CDL with a clean driving record.
• Minimum of 2 years of commercial driving experience.
• Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening.
• Physical ability to assist with unloading at delivery sites.
• Strong time-management skills and attention to detail.
• Customer-service mindset with the ability to interact professionally with retail staff.

Work Hours and Benefits

This full-time position operates Monday–Friday, with start times dependent on route assignments. Drivers have limited overnights, with consistent schedules and additional hours as needed.

• Pay: $74,000-$82,000
