Reports To: Director of Behavioral Services
Job Description: Behavioral Technician workers are responsible for one-to-one teaching session with
young children with developmental and intellectual disabilities using a variety of Applied Behavior
Analysis (ABA) techniques. BA must be able to work independently as well as with managerial staff,
patients/family members and other co-workers courteously. Must be able to prioritize work demands
and organize time efficiently. Supervision and on-site training is provided by the BCBA. Other
responsibilities include but are not limited to;
• Provide assistance to behavioral therapists in developing behavioral therapy programs.
• Provide behavioral interventions to children and adolescents in home and community settings.
• Implements an individualized service plan for each child and youngster.
• Manage and work with youth with behavioral problems.
• Develop and initiate safety standards for youth at all times.
• Monitor, record, and document observations of youth behavior.
• Modify daily activities of youth appropriate to behavioral interventions.
• Instruct youth on positive behavioral aspects.
• Maintain and manage clean and safe environment for youth.
• Develop and initiate appropriate recreational activities for youth.
Qualifications:
Ideal applicants should possess a Bachelor's Degree (BA, BS, BCABA preferred) or have
substantial experience in ABA or special education with equivalent combination of training and/or
experience.
Applicants should demonstrate knowledge, skills, and experience supporting individuals
diagnosed with emotional, mental health, neurological and/or developmental disabilities.
Minimum of three (3) years experience working in the field of behavior analysis and intervention preferred.
Educational Requirement: Bachelor's Degree
