Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Sushi Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in meal preparation and a deep understanding of Japanese cuisine, particularly sushi. As a Sushi Chef, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality dishes that delight our customers.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and present sushi dishes according to restaurant standards and recipes.
• Ensure all food items are fresh, properly stored, and handled in accordance with health and safety regulations.
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to plan menus and create innovative sushi offerings.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including workstations and equipment.
• Assist in inventory management by monitoring stock levels of ingredients and supplies.
• Provide training and support to junior kitchen staff as needed.
• Stay updated on food trends and techniques to continually enhance menu offerings.

Experience

• Proven experience in meal preparation within the food service or restaurant industry, specifically in sushi or Japanese cuisine.
• Familiarity with various cooking techniques, food preparation methods, and kitchen equipment.
• Strong knowledge of food safety practices and health regulations.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment while also demonstrating independence when necessary.
• Excellent time management skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
