About This Opportunity
We maintain an active pipeline of candidates for virtual occupational therapy roles serving students in school environments. These positions allow you to provide essential therapeutic services to students who benefit from occupational therapy support, all from the comfort of your home office. You'll utilize specialized teletherapy technology to evaluate student needs, deliver interventions, and collaborate with educational teams.

Position Characteristics

Remote Occupational Therapy Positions We Frequently Fill Typically Include

  • Weekly Hours: hours aligned with school calendar
  • Student Load: 45-60 students distributed across grade levels
  • Age Range: Preschool through transition-age students
  • Delivery Model: Synchronous teletherapy sessions with occasional asynchronous consultation
  • Focus Areas: Handwriting skills, sensory regulation, self-care skills, assistive technology evaluation, environmental modifications, and participation in educational activities

Key Responsibilities

Your Role As a Remote Occupational Therapist Will Encompass

  • Performing initial and triennial evaluations to determine eligibility and therapeutic needs
  • Creating measurable, functional IEP goals that address students' occupational performance in school
  • Delivering evidence-based occupational therapy interventions via teletherapy platform
  • Monitoring and documenting student progress toward established goals
  • Providing consultation to teachers regarding classroom accommodations and sensory strategies
  • Participating in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss student needs and programming
  • Maintaining accurate records in compliance with IDEA, FERPA, and state regulations
  • Communicating regularly with parents about student progress and home program recommendations
  • Adapting therapeutic materials and activities for effective virtual engagement

Qualifications We Seek
Candidates being considered for our virtual OT positions must have:

  • Current Occupational Therapist license issued by New Hampshire
  • Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
  • At least 2 years of documented experience providing OT services in school settings
  • Knowledge of special education law, IEP development, and school-based service delivery models
  • Demonstrated ability to engage pediatric clients through telepractice platforms
  • Strong organizational and time management skills for managing caseload independently
  • Technical competency with videoconferencing software, digital documentation, and online therapy tools
  • Dedicated workspace with reliable internet connectivity suitable for teletherapy
